Formula
Fuel Cost = (Distance ÷ Fuel Economy) × Price per Liter
Distance is converted to kilometers and Fuel Consumption to kilometers-per-liter first (whichever unit you picked), giving the liters needed for the trip. That figure is multiplied by the fuel price per liter (converted from your selected pricing unit) to get the total cost.
Example
A 100 km trip at 7 L/100km (about 14.3 km/L) needs roughly 7 liters. At $1.50 per liter, that trip costs about $10.50 — or $10.50 per 100 km.
